Mermaids and a serial killer in the Alabama bayou.
Shelly Connors is a mermaid. Called a TRAB by merfolk because she is half mermaid, half human, she has lived her life not feeling welcomed on land or sea. Living with her two full blooded mermaid cousins, Jet and Lilly, in their treasure filled family home, Shelly still feels alone. While working as a swim therapist for his autistic brother, Shelly meets Sheriff Tillman Angier and sparks fly. During a night swim trying to sort out her mixed up feelings, she witnesses a serial killer dumping his newest victim. He sees her and knows that she must be his next victim. Shelly tries to find justice for the slain girl by feeding Sherriff Angier tidbits of information, but that backfires. Full of twists and turns, Shelly tries to find her place in the world. I highly recommend this book. Jet’s story is already downloaded.
